Well, what can I say,”That’s What Friends Are For” at Viva……

Leye’s rendition of Copacabana, Prince and his Elaine Paige impersonation is one hell of a memory, hilarious!

As always Carol Kaye consummate performance, like only Carol can, a flawless version of Candi Staton’s “Young Hearts”.

Tracey’s performance of “Don’t Cry Out Loud” bought me close to tears. Our rendition of “You Don’t Bring Me Flowers “with the technical superiority and help from Paul Smith was quite moving, wonderful Tracey!

My dear friend Andy Mudd with his medley of songs from the great Billy Joel was quite breath-taking. How nice to hear a live band, good on you Andy, or should I say Billy!

So then on to the stage stepped the main man Darren Day, proving yet again what an outstanding performer and all round entertainer he is. Liam Gallagher incredible, Gary Barlow and Take That sensational, Elton John phenominal, and as for Cliff, well it could well have been Cliff on stage. Sinatra and Sammy sounded brilliant, never heard a young man pull off a tribute to Sammy quite like that, Billy Connolly, Sean and Roger colossal. Darren’s version of “Wind Beneath My Wings” was a showstopper!

And I have to mention the wonderful Viva Showgirls.

Yes a truly sensational show, thanks to Darren’s fans and of course to my fans, your undivided and devoted support is truly wonderful. A great opening night was had by all.

As for me I’m pleased to say that I hope to be on the set this Sunday.
