Great to see everyone attending at Viva Blackpool to spend New Year’s Eve with Joe, his first time back on stage since completing the recent course of radiotherapy combined with chemotherapy for mouth cancer. Guests were served a sumptuous 3 course dinner before being entertained by the very talented vocalist Chris Farrell. Compere Lee Newton announced Joe’s entrance to a huge round of applause and cheers from the audience who rose to their feet to welcome Joe as he made his way round the room and up to the stage.

This summer and autumn Joe has been working on a new album while he continues his recovery and with this in mind he made the decision to bring 4 new songs along last night to showcase:-

Joe sang along with the tracks to a delighted and thrilled audience with rapturous applause and standing ovations from the sold out room.

After 2 more songs 'I Believe I’m Gonna Love You' and 'If You Love Me' , Lee conducted a light hearted and cordial Q & A before Joe sat down to await the New Year Celebrations. After joining in with the midnight celebrations he took leave of everyone and departed for home.

Joe would like to express his personal thanks to all the guests for their warm wishes and love and support for him, it gave him great encouragement and enthusiasm to see so many familiar faces.
