The celebrated and historic City Varieties Theatre in the heart of Leeds played host to Joe last Friday 20th June ‘one of their own’ as the box office lady lovingly called him on the phone last week. First treading the boards there as a young cheeky blond haired fresh faced lad of 13 back in the late 60’s in ITV’s ‘Junior Showtime’, Mr Joe Longthorne MBE returned in style last Friday for a very special evening, here are a few photos from Joe's performance, thanks to John Orange, plus a look back to Joe as a teenager.
